Graduate of the Northern Arizona University with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiological Sciences from the University of Maryland.
Rudy joined Future Physical Therapy in January of 2008 as their newest associate and is excited about the opportunity to serve the Ocean County community. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Future Physical Therapy. Skilled in manual orthopedic and sports medicine, Rudy uses his expertise to treat his patients.
Over 30 years of experience in the field of health and fitness, sports medicine and athletic conditioning contribute to Rudy's abilities to assist his patient based approach. He has gained knowledge during his internships as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist at the Universities of Arizona, Maryland and Northern Arizona. He was one of approximately 400 Strength Coaches to sit for the initial CSCS examination in 1985 and received recognition as one of only 208 Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches in the country. Rudy was selected as a national Master Strength and Fitness Instructor for the YMCA in 1985. He has coached high school, elite college and professional athletes in a wide range of sports endeavors.
He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His business experience includes being a founding partner of WorkAble Solutions, an innovative private physical therapy practice in the Seattle, Washington area before relocating to New Jersey.
An active member of his local church, novice surfer and hiker, Rudy has competed in 56 body building competitions over a span of 40 years. He has won numerous titles at the state and regional level and competed in 3 national championships. He enjoys challenges and competing against himself to strive to improve his personal health and fitness. Rudy encourages his patients to live a healthy lifestyle by example! He enjoys spending time with his family, including his two Shetland Sheep Dogs, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, listening to blues and supporting the local arts.
